James Edward Manucy, III

James Edward Manucy, III, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at home with his family by his side. The native and lifelong resident of Savannah retired as operations manager from Strachan Shipping Co. after 32 years of service. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a 1950 graduate of Benedictine Military School. He also attended the University of Georgia and Armstrong Jr. College.

His survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy McMillan Manucy, daughters, Ellen Kilpatrick Michael, and Nancy M. Lawson, son, James E. Manucy, IV Debbie Royal, grandchildren, Jennie and Will Lawson, all of Savannah.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010 with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m., at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2010 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Burial will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or Benedictine Military School.
